香港科技大学是一所成立于1991年的高度国际化的研究型大学，是香港八所受特区政府资助并可颁授学位的高等教育院校之一，从2011年起连续三年被《QS亚洲大学排名》列为亚洲排名第一的大学，由理学院、工学院、工商管理学院、人文社会科学学院和霍英东研究院五所学院组成。

　　营运总监

　　直接向研究院院长报告,承担研究院科研项目管理、技术成果转化以及市场开拓的相关工作和任务指标。其具体职责和要求如下：

　　岗位职责：

　　-负责研究院科研项目管理的运作并完成相关任务指标；
　　-负责制定并优化研究院项目管理、技术转移的流程和制度；
　　-与各研发部门紧密配合，开拓研究院与各级政府间的科研合作；
　　-评估和筛选各研发部门具有市场价值的科技成果，开拓与潜在商业客户的合作，实现技术转移的目标；
　　-代表研究院与各级政府主管部门、工业界合作伙伴进行对接交流，建立并维持良好关系；
　　-承担并完成院长指派的其他任务。

　　任职资格：

　　-本科及以上学历；
　　-拥有产业化项目开发、管理以及发展战略伙伴关系方面的杰出技能；
　　-具有优秀的领导能力、商业意识、谈判能力及承压能力；
　　-有敏锐的市场洞察力并能发掘潜在客户与机会；
　　-工作积极主动、具有创新思维和开拓精神；
　　-卓越的沟通技巧和表达能力，英语听说读写流利，会粤语者优先。

　　Founded in 1991, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) being as one of the eight tertiary institutions subsidized by HKSAR Government, has established itself an international research university.  HKUST has been ranked No. 1 in Asia for 3 years in a row (QS Asian University Rankings 2011-2013); there are 5 Schools in HKUST, namely School of Science, School of Engineering, School of Business and Management, School of Humanities and Social Science and HKUST Fok Ying Tung Graduate School.

　　Established by HKUST, Fok Ying Tung Research Institute (FYTRI) in Nansha, Guangzhou, is one of the major vehicles of HKUST's endeavor to conduct applied research, provide technology transfer platform and enhance entrepreneurship education in the mainland. Working with industry and other research institutes and leading universities in the Pearl River Delta Region, FYTRI hopes to contribute to the technological advancement and economic development of the region.  FYTRI focuses on four main technology areas, namely Internet of Things, Green Building and Environment, Engineering Materials and Testing and Advanced Manufacturing and Industry Automation.

　　Executive Director
　　Reporting to the Dean of FYTRI, the appointee will join a dynamic team to oversee the work related to government grant management, marketing of high-end technologies, technology transfer and commercialization. The detailed responsibilities and requirements are listed as below.

　　Responsibilities:
　　- Responsible for the operation and performance of Research Administration Office of the Dean's Office in FYTRI;
　　- Work closely with the Division Managers of FYTRI to acquire different kinds of government grants;
　　- Analyze the technology trends and relevant policies from Central to Local governments; to provide the most up-to-date government grant application and management information to the Divisions of FYTRI
　　- Direct and manage the team to work with other units in the Dean's Office to assist the Divisions of FYTRI in project management, e.g. project application, project mid-term examination, project conclusion, etc.;
　　- Achieve the goal of technology transfer by working closely with Technology Transfer & Incubation Office of FYTRI, to identify and develop marketable technologies, and promote them to potential business partners;
　　- Maintain strong network with relevant stakeholders, including government authorities, industrial partners, Division Managers, etc.
　　- Devise and streamline policies and procedures related to project management and technology transfer of FYTRI;
　　- Take up any other tasks as assigned by the Dean.

　　Requirements:
　　- Bachelor degree or above; with at least 10 years of experience in project management (especially government grant administration), commercialization and business incubation;
　　- Outstanding skills at initiating, managing and growing strategic partnerships between research and businesses;
　　- Able to identify market potentials, opportunities and challenges in high-end industries;
　　- Strong leadership skills, with a business-minded approach, and able to work under pressure;
　　- Creative, energetic, initiative, capable &open-minded;
　　- Excellent communication and presentation skills.  Basic knowledge of English is required.
