First, the professionals on the front line has built a "firewall" to fight against COVID-19. 2,764 medical professionals in Tianhe District have remained at their posts since the Spring Festival, working hard to prevent the epidemic 24/7. 29 commandos of CPC members, consisting of 428 key medical staff members from public hospitals, community health service centers and private medical institutions, have undertaken the urgent and critical tasks for epidemic prevention and control. In the face of the ever-changing epidemic situation and the mixture of real and fake news and information, the professionals in the District has been utilizing web portals, Internet radio and WeChat applets to communicate knowledge of COVID-19 prevention and control and positive information and clarify rumors, providing critical public opinion support for epidemic prevention and control. Professionals in the District have taken the lead to drive the companies they work for to fulfill their social responsibilities by donating money and supplies, the most direct way of securing the COVID-19 prevention and control. NetEase, where many high-caliber professionals work, donated 100 million yuan to set up a special fund for COVID-19 prevention and control; KWG Group set up "Joint Efforts" fund for the fight against the epidemic; Wanlian Securities donated 3 million yuan to designated medical institutions in the city for COVID-19 treatment, prevention and control; in addition to funding, 37 Games and TT Network where many high-caliber professionals work also donated medical supplies such as face masks and gloves to Wuhan and Guangzhou. These efforts included: providing a service hotline to timely learn about the needs of the professionals and provide services; providing medical supplies for those who were engaged in COVID-19 prevention and control; strengthening the disinfection and cleaning, check-in protection, registration of health information and tracking and management of persons in key areas at the apartments for professionals in the District to create a safe environment; further making use of the Internet to provide services for professionals online to reduce risk of infection; preparing the yellow pages of human resources service agencies and releasing them on WeChat public accounts and online platforms such as "Tianhe Professional Port" and "Tianhe Employment", which effectively promoted the communication and cooperation between human resources service agencies and employers, as well as the online training, testing and recruitment as safer and more convenient ways of employment for both employers and job seekers.
