Advice for Persons under Centralized Medical Observation

The prevention and control of pneumonia caused by 2019-nCoV is currently in a critical stage. To ensure early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment, you are isolated for medical observation. This is a measure to protect you and other people to the greatest extent. Please have a good rest, pay attention to self-protection and cooperate with our work. If you have any problem, please do not hesitate to contact our staff.

The medical observation period is set as 14 days,starting from the last day you had close contact with patients infected with 2019-nCov or from the first day you arrive in Guangzhou if you come from Hubei Province.

Pay attention to personal hygiene.

Stay alone. Please do not leave your room.Persons under centralized medical observation are not allowed to visit each other. Avoid close contact with other people. If you have to, keep a distance of at least 1 meter and you’d better move to a down-wind position.

Wear a disposable surgical mask. Change it every 4 hours or when it becomes wet.

Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with a tissue or your flexed elbow. No spitting. Clean your hands with soap and running water when they are contaminated by respiratory secretion.

Open the window everyday to maintain proper ventilation. If natural ventilation is inadequate, mechanical ventilation by extract fan should be applied.

Visitation by friends and relatives is not allowed unless the staff give permission. The visitors must strengthen self-protection according to the rules defined by the health authorities. Avoid close contact with each other.

Please cooperate with our staff. They will take your temperature every morning and evening and inquire about your condition. Please assist in disinfection of your room.

Please contact our staff if you have a fever or other symptoms.

Be optimistic and live a regular life.

To relax yourself , you may watch TV and communicate with family and friends by telephone, cell phone and through the Internet.
